Meet Attorney Keith R. Nachbar

Attorney Keith R. Nachbar has practiced law in central Wyoming since 1994. He has successfully handled cases in courts throughout the State of Wyoming, including Municipal, State, and Federal courts. He and his associate attorneys have represented clients facing serious crimes including murder, drug possession, manufacturing, and conspiracy, arson, aggravated assault, embezzlement, theft, child abuse, armed robbery, family violence, burglary, assault, firearms charges, white-collar crimes, as well as criminal appeals and post-conviction relief. Mr. Nachbar represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in civil cases including serious personal injury, workers’ compensation, divorce and family law, guardianships and adoption, access, real estate and easements, collections, commercial litigation, contract disputes, contested wills and estates and most other civil litigation, as well as appeals from civil judgments. His numerous appellate cases have resulted in published opinions in successful cases from both the Wyoming Supreme Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Nachbar has been selected to speak and teach at numerous events including training for judges, the people’s law school, and youth leadership conferences and has published materials on workers’ compensation and contempt of court. He has taught courses to judges on contempt of court, focusing on the trial judge’s duties in civil and criminal contempt proceedings.
Mr. Nachbar is licensed and admitted in all State and Federal courts in Wyoming, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado, the United States Supreme Court, and the U.S. Tax Court. He is a member of the Wyoming Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Wyoming Trial Lawyer’s Association, and the Natrona County Bar Association. He was appointed as an assistant contract public defender for the state of Wyoming for 8 years and still serves on the primary defense panel for Federal criminal cases under the Criminal Justice Act. He currently serves as an appointed member of the Wyoming criminal pattern jury instructions committee. He served as a part-time municipal judge for the City of Casper for 18 years and has attended numerous judicial training courses at the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada. He is active in Natrona County 4-H as a leader and leader’s council member and is the owner, sponsor, and driver of the 21e 360 Sprint Car.
